ALHAMA COUNCIL APPROVE "PARAMOUNT PARK" LICENSES, READY TO START CONSTRUCTION!
Alhama de Murcia council formally approved the special plan for the implementation of the Paramount Park in Alhama de Murcia. This completes the licensing phase and enables the Paramount company "Premursa" to initiate construction.
 Once this final legal tramitation has been legally concluded, Premursa will be in a legal position to commence construction works. At the same time the pleno approved modification number 1 of the "Plan especial de Infraestructuras Comunes de los Desarollos TurÃÂsticos-Residencials del Sur del Municipio de Alhama de Murcia" a plan which establishes the procedures to grant installations and associated developments of the park the infrastructures necessary to provide utilities and services, ie water supply, water processing, sewage, electricity supply etc.
 Finally, the agreement with El Casón de Carroscoy S.L. was also approved regarding granting of lands for environmental improvement in order to satisfy environmental requirements and ensure that the project meets with environmental demands, the lands in questions being those which were purchased by Premursa and which form part of the area projected for the park.ÂÂ
Construction and Logistics
There are four constructors who have expressed a written interest in builiding the main infrastructure: Dragados, OHL, FEE and Ferrovial, who will attend a planning meeting in the coming week, then have until the 30th of June by which to present their offers. The intention is to adjudicate the contracts around 15th July, with the intention of starting earthmoving works at the end of August, beginning of September this year.
The work will take place simultaneously on three fronts: the special plan for infrastructure and accesses, earth movement and construction of the Lifestyle Center (hotels, commercial etc) and the earthmoving and construction of the actual Paramount park. The budget for this phase of works was 160 million euros.
Sr Samper in the press conference held on the 10th of May said that the park would be ready for inauguration in the second part of 2015, as per the original forecasts.
