 Dear Terry
I had to drop you a line to say thank you to you and your staff for all the help you have given me. As a woman on my own I was very worried about buying and moving out to Spain , and most of my friends thought I was mad, but it was something I really wanted to do.
Thankfully I found you on the internet and you made everything so easy for me. Your obvious experience, and that of your staff, gave me great confidence. Your kind manner made me feel cared for and protected but the most important thing for me was your patience with my endless questions. Not once did you make me feel silly for asking although I am sure I must have asked some silly things that I really should have known. All the way through you or your staff ensured that I knew exactly what was happening, the lawyer and bank manager you introduced me to were wonderful and I have nothing but praise for all of you.
After my experience with you, some of my friends are seriously thinking about following me. These are the same friends who spent a lot of time repeating the horror stories from the press about Spain to me in the past. But they are so impressed by the ease with which I bought my house with your help that they are filled with a new confidence as well.
My cat and I are nicely settled now and I am starting Spanish lessons next week.

Just wanted to say thanks a lot for your help in finding our house. As soon as I spoke to you and heard that Yorkshire accent I knew we would be OK.
That Yvonne must have a bit of Yorkshire in her too because she told us that one of the houses we picked from the website wasn´t right for us but when we looked doubtful she took us to see it anyway. But she was right and it wasn´t what we wanted so after that we trusted her judgement and yours. You found us a cracker between you and we are very happy here.
Now that we have settled in and talked to some other newcomers we realise what a good deal we got and just how much extra help you gave us compared to a lot of the
other agents.Some of them are still trying to sort out their problems with electricity and whatnot while all we have to do is search for a good pint of bitter.

To say thank you very much does not really express the gratitude we feel for your excellent service. From your reply within 20minutes of receiving my email, through you sending me a list of suitable properties, to appointments to view and subsequent purchase your service was second to none.
As busy professionals my husband and I don´t have a lot of spare time and desperately needed a holiday home to run away to. We emailed several agents but your service stood head and shoulders above the rest in speed and efficiency.
We were delighted when you took over sorting out all the minor details and were more than happy to give the lawyer you recommended power of attorney to sort out the purchase and transfer of utilities. It meant that we could get back to work to pay for it all!
We have managed one long weekend visit so far but knowing that everything has been arranged on direct debit and we have nothing to do but a bit of shopping made the holiday so much more restful. We are looking forward to many more relaxed weekends in the future.

Dear Terry

Just had to write to tell you how happy we are with our darling cottage. We never thought we would end up with something so suitable.  We hadn´t really made our minds up to come to Spain but found your website when we were just looking at foreign houses generally and thought that you might give us an idea of what Spain was about, what a blessing that we did. We wrote to you and you put us in touch with Yvonne and Susan. Susan booked a B&B for us and Yvonne met us at the airport and took us to see some houses. Just to see what we could get for our money – well that was the idea anyway.

When we saw this little cottage, nestled on the side of a mountain we just fell in love with it. The Spanish owners were such nice people giving us some of their homemade wine and as Yvonne translated, said that they thought we were the perfect people for their house. Fortunately my son was able to wire some extra money out to us and we put down our deposit.

Here we are less than two months later, completely moved in and we gave a little party for the old owners and the neighbours. We had hoped Yvonne would come to help us communicate but she had even more clients she was taking out.

Things went surprisingly well considering that we didn´t speak each other´s languages. Lots of smiling and miming and much drinking of wine and many toasts. We really feel part of the community and have booked to start Spanish lessons. Everyone has been so kind and we have been receiving the bags of fruit and vegetables that Yvonne warned about. I made a Victoria sponge and gave it to our neighbours, who bring us oranges on an almost daily basis, and you would think that I had given her 100 euros. That was thanks to Yvonne´s warning about never offering them money as they may be offended.

All your advice has been so useful and helped us to feel as though we have been here for years, just need to meet up with the other English that Susan introduced us to. We are booked to go on some of the excursions that she organises as well.

We are so happy that I don´t have the words to describe it and it is all thanks to you and your staff. Somehow, and I suspect that it is with a lot of hard work, experience and dedication, you made our move to Spain easier than when we moved house in England. Please pass on our grateful thanks to everyone at 1Casa.

"We had been looking for a property in Inland Andalucia for almost two years, 1 Casa was just one of potential agents with properties in the Alora area.

 Although none of these turned out to be just what we were looking for, we were impressed with the general information Terry gave us, and the fact that there was no hard sell'. Terry then suggested that we look at another area slightly further inland, and arranged a viewing day for us. During the day, we found just the right house, 1Casa helped us negotiate a price reduction and we arranged to pay the holding deposit as soon as we got back to England . The service that we received from 1 Casa over the next few months, during the purchasing process was second to none. After a few hiccoughs with the Valuation by our Bank all problems were resloved by 1Casa and we became proud owners of the house in February.

However, as we still had a property in England to sell,we were not in a position to move to Spain straight away. The after sales service offered to us has been excellent, this really impressed
us, as we did wonder if once the sale had gone through , that they would not be interested. This has definitely not been the case! 1Casa have helped arrange so many different things from finding a locksmith to help secure the property in our absence, organise building permits, moving furniture out and sorting , this did not cause even a ripple to 1Casa. When Telefonica installed a new line but forgot the telephone they lent us one until the original was received. Our experience of buying a property in Spain, was made much less daunting through the support we received, (and are still receiving) from 1Casa."

Well, we´re here and I´m not sure I actually believe it yet. What with one thing and another I never thought that we´d make it.

After the problem with our buyers in England , then the Spanish owners wanting to change the price, I thought we had lost our spanish dream for sure.

We still can´t quite believe that you got everyone and the two lawyers in the office together and told them off. Tom says he would never like to have you against him after your performance in the lawyer´s office. Obviously we didn´t understand a word of it and your quick translations to us didn´t quite seem to cover all the words that were being spoken, but we could tell by the tone and body language that things were getting a bit heated.

When the seller and his lawyer went outside to talk privately I was sure that we had gone too far and were going to lose the house but somehow you won through.

We think what you did was far more than we could have expected and if, like our friends out here, we had just been handed over to a lawyer and forgotten about we would not have our house today.

Say thanks to Terry for the introduction to HIFX they are an excellent money transfer company that he fixed us up with. We got a brilliant rate of exchange and what we saved with them paid for the satellite TV.

Hello Terry and crew,

We wanted to let you know that we have had our first hot bath with the solar panel water that you sorted for us. Plenty of it and hot just like you promised. Also our back yard is full of building materials that cost a lot less than my mate paid thanks to your advice again.

The service that we had from 1Casa and all the staff there has been absolutely brilliant. A lot of our friends thought we were mad when we bought this house because there was only three rooms that were liveable and the other five needed so much work. Mind you I reckon we may have been in a bit of a mess if it hadn´t been for your help and advice.

You know a lot of the estate agents say we make your dream come true but from what people tell me all that means is they sell you a house. With all the extra help you have given us you proved that your company really does make dreams come true, no matter how daft they seem to other people. You even said that it was a good idea to put the bathroom in first and you were right. It makes a real difference to be able to have a good soak after a day´s grafting.

Dear Mr Lucas,
When I was contemplating(and hoping) to be able to retire to Spain,and
not affluent enough to purchase the kind of place I would dearly
like, being on my own with just a fixed income, I did not really hold out
much hope. I e-mailed many companies in the inland areas that appealed to
me (taken from Sur-in English sent by friends on the coast) and I think
all the poweres that be were smiling on me when I was contacted by
Yvonne in Alora.I have to tell you that considering I was not going to
be one of your most profitable clients I have been treated with the
utmost courtesy and helpfulness far beyond the call of duty!!!!


I cannot thank you and your staff enough for making my dream come true
and finding for me what I consider to be the place of my dreams!!!! I
love Alora and the whole area,I had no wish to be part of the razzmatazz
of ex-pats near the coast,I wanted somewhere quiet and properly
"Spanish" and thanks to Yvonne I have found all that. When I came out to
Alora last week,Yvonne and Susan were superb.

I have several friends who are contemplating the move to
Spain,who like me do not want to be in "little England" on the coast and
once I get settled and can get them out to visit am sure will have a
good think about buying in the area and I will of course insist that
they get all their help etc from ICasa as someone they can trust!
As when I came over I did not know whether I would actually find
something(or whether indeed I would like Alora) I did not have
sufficient money in cash to pay everything. Once we found the apartment
it was paramount, to secure it to pay the 2 months rent required, so I
left without paying the 1Casa "finding fee",As Yvonne managed to get me
such a good deal on the rental(280 Euros per month) our agreed 1 month
to yourselves seemed rather miserly for all the effort you had put in so
I agreed with Yvonne to pay you 350 Euros. I have today instructed my
bank to transfer to your account 400 Euros and ask that you give the
extra to Yvonne as a small appreciation of her wonderful help,including
enumerable cups of coffee etc.

Terry I just wanted to drop you a line to say thank you so much for all
the help you gave us in Spain . As you know we had a very unpleasant
experience with the inspection trip we came over on before and my husband
swore he would never come to Spain again. After being put into disgusting
accommodation and trapped in a car for eight hours being shown properties
we couldn´t afford I can understand why. Then I went against his wishes
and phoned your freephone number. Your warm voice and helpful manner
immediately reassured me and even Arthur believed I had done the right
thing after speaking to you. The accommodation you booked for us was
lovely, the car hire very convenient even if we didn´t get to use it much
because Yvonne drove us to all the properties we looked at. She was just
like you, friendly and helpful and honest and you don´t get a lot of
honesty from estate agents or anybody else these days. She took us for a
coffee or lunch to have a break and never pressured us once about making a
decision. Even when we bought our house she was still on the end of the
phone to help and advise. Between the two of you the advice has saved us a
lot of money, got us legal and happy in our new home.  Because you made it so
easy for us several of our friends are thinking of coming to Spain as well and will all come to you. If anyone wants to email me about our experiences feel free to
pass on my email address. Thank you once again and remember that you are

Me and the missus just wanted to say thanks a bundle for all your hard work. We met some real b******* when we were looking for our house and just about packed the whole thing in. Then this bloke we met in a bar said you and your lot were the best thing since sliced bread so we decided to give it one last try.
Well the bloke in the bar was right, you and your staff are real diamonds, no wonder your company is so successful. You saved my life and probably our marriage. Leanne had her heart set on a villa in the country and you found us the perfect one. No flannel, no pushy sales talk, just matched our needs as you call it. I still don’t believe that you only showed us three and we liked them all.
This matching business is right on, we had seen so much crap before, most of it at a higher price than we wanted to pay. You lot cut through all that and got straight to the nitty gritty.

Anyway Leanne is as happy as a pig in the proverbial which makes me happy. Thanks a lot mate I owe you one

I would like to thank you for your introduction to Spain and the excellent service that was provided by your company. Due to my husband's illness he was not strong or confident enough to drive a hire car during our trip to Spain. We could only get a flight that arrived during the evening in to Malaga,  but Yvonne willingly met us at the airport and drove us to Alora where she had arranged accommodation and the next morning helped us to open a Spanish bank account. Yvonne then drove us up to Granada, where she had booked us into a Spanish hotel, later she took us to the office to shortlist the properties we wanted to view. The next day we saw the 3 properties we had short listed. I liked one and disliked one, unfortunately Harry liked a different one but at least disliked the same one as me. While we were viewing the third property a Spanish man came to tell us he had another property for sale, so off we all went to have a look. We were both very taken with this house and made an offer and paid a holding deposit there and then.
The next morning Yvonne drove us down to Torremolinos to exchange a suitcase that had been broken by the airline on our outward journey, not only translating for us but intervening when they tried to give us an inferior case. She then drove us on to Fuengirola where we stayed with a friend for the rest of the trip. Without the support from Yvonne and her colleagues we would not have purchased our home in Spain and this support was greatly appreciated. I feel with my husband's deteriorating health in the UK we would not have been able to continue searching further for a property and continuous trips to view in Spain would have been detrimental to his health, with the help from Yvonne we were able to conclude our business in one trip and this has helped with Harry's health and we saw the light at the end of the tunnel with our move to Spain.
That wasn't the end of the help though, having paid our deposit and exchanged contracts the time for the rest of the money came due, we had real problems with our bank transferring the money and we were getting close to losing the house but with the huge efforts, lots of phone calls and string-pulling by Terry at 1Casa, he managed, with the help of HIFX, to get the money to Spain in the nick of time.
All the fuss and bother with the money meant that my husband became very ill and the need to relocate to Spain became a matter of urgency. Since moving to Spain he has greatly improved and to say he is a different person would not be an understatement. The village we now live in is a very rustic part of Spain with very little spoken English if any, this has been a big challenge but the welcome given to us by our neighbours has been fantastic. We have been learning Spanish from a local tutor and this has helped us to be accepted by the locals, we have been included in local festivals and cultural events, that have made this feel like home a lot sooner than we thought. Just the other day we were invited to the start of the festival of xmas, where the villagers get together and sacrifice the local pigs with the woman making the local sausages and cured hams. We were invited to take part and included in the celebration which included eating the local foods and drinking the local wines.
We will be eternally grateful to 1Casa and all the staff for saving the day and my husband´s health. Here´s wishing them health, prosperity and lots of clients in 2006.

Thank you so much for the weekly newsletter.  It really does keep us in touch with Spain and is most enjoyable.  We have a small village house in Pruna (Sevilla) but have been unable to visit for nearly a year now becaiuse of my husband's health problems.  However, hopefully we will return to Spain this Summer. Having lived and worked in Spain for many years during the 70s and 80s, and speaking the language it always feels to me more like coming home than England ever does.

very pleased on reading about the "African Plan," --it is a good one for sure.  also, quite amusing reading about christopher columbus's remains.  So, will the real country possessing those remains please stand up?!  (smile) (--from an old game show in the 60's called "To tell the truth, Hugh Downs, host, )."  although not related to this dilemma, i really mean it as:  "will the country that has the true remains, please stand up!"  Poor fella, looks like his dna could be split apart.  
 
hope the "jazz evening' was fun;  --oh, to be in beautiful Costa del Sol for a jazz evening!  finally, what a story about the senior american woman who withstood the bird flu along with other family members.  hmm, looks like there could be some correlation between her antibodies and flu virus.  it is certainly worthy of more research.

I am writing to let you know that I am now settled in my house near Alcala and to say thank you so much to you and your staff. As a woman on my own I always feel that more at risk when dealing with salesmen and was therefore so grateful to find you on the internet. From talking to you and Yvonne I felt a complete confidence and the help you gave me to find the right property, organise a mortgage, fix up ADSL, settle in and work my way through the Spanish requirements went far beyond what I ever expected.

My internet business is going even better here than it did in the UK and I have the bonus of the sunshine. What more could a woman ask.

Hello to all at 1Casa,

Just a quick note to say thank you to you all regarding the purchase of my property in Bulgaria .

 As you are aware I did start my search in Spain but when the sale of the property we purchased fell through (& not being able to find a suitable property for the same budget) Terry Lucas informed us about Bulgaria . I must say that the whole team in Bulgaria are absolutely 1st class from start to finish. From the moment we contacted them through 1Casa right to the completion of our purchase nothing has been to much trouble for them.

 They have proved that even though the country is in its early stages of dealing with clients from abroad their attitude for looking for the right property we required is second to none. They took us half way round Bulgaria on our viewing trip to show us the pros & cons of certain areas & so we knew what was there & when, this was crucial as unlike Spain the coast is seasonal due to cold winters, so if you wish to purchase there it would only be used mainly during the summer months, this is the sort of things they pointed out to us which can make a difference if you do not know these things.

 They did not try to sell us anything they just made sure we understood what was available all year round & what was seasonal (like chalets in skiing areas). Once we found the property we wanted to purchase they did not stop  there in their pursuit of first class service of looking after us, they done all the paperwork for us, sorted out all the necessary meetings with notary officers, solicitors etc & made the process so easy for us. We came back to England & left it to them to sort out & they did just that. They done everything they said they would when it had to be done & contacted us by e-mail whenever they did it to keep us informed all the way.

 Anyway the whole process was effortless & within five weeks of seeing the property it was ours. We have been back to Bulgaria since purchasing & their services have not stopped (something I doubt you would get if purchasing in Spain ). They met us at the airport & drove us to the house to make sure we did not get lost, have checked with all the utility companies to change the ownership details for us, basically anything we needed to sort out with the changing of the ownership they did it for us. We must say this has been invaluable specially if you can not speak or read the language.

 Anyway I could go on forever but I must finish by saying that their service is great & I would not hesitate in recommending them to anybody interested in buying in Bulgaria, the people & country is just amazing & I do not think it will take to long to become just as popular buying a second home as Spain is now & if my experience is anything to go by it is what they deserve.If you require me to talk to any of your clients thinking of buying in Bulgaria , pass on my details to them & I will be more than happy to talk to them!  Thanks again for recommending & little gem of a country which up to now is still to be discovered & hopefully will stay that way.

DEAR Cristina,
Many thanks for the news letters you send, I find them a great source of information on events and happenings in Spain. One article in the most recent one grabbed my attention so much, I felt I had to write. You reported that a "timeshare gang" had been arrested after operating in the Fuengirola and other areas. I hope this is the same gang that, after promising to purchase my timeshare, duped me out of several thousand pounds.
Money that was intended for my disabled son. These people contacted me by telephone, enquiring whether I was interested in selling my timeshare property. As it happened, I was, and I was drawn into the sales pitch. This was presented by a company called Eurosun, who invited myself and my wife to their "offices" in Fuengirola. Upon arrival
we were presented with an opportunity of selling the timeshare and buying into another holiday ownership programme. On the surface this seemed ideal for us. As we have two small children, one of whom is disabled, it looked like we would still be able to give the
children fantastic holidays for years to come. How wrong we were. Instead, the reality has been that we lost seven thousand pounds in the "Deal". However, we managed to hang onto the timeshare and still own this. Others, I have since learned, have not been so lucky.
In closing, I sincerely wish the authorities in Spain total success in bringing his "SCUM" to justice. Keep up the good work in your reporting.

  1Casa Contest Winners  Ann and Edd Sarginson

We arrived via EasyJet at Malaga airport right on time; if somewhat tired after a 4.30am start, so the first thing we did was have a cup of coffee. This was also a good opportunity for a Spanish lesson as Anne likes milky coffee, known apparently as a `nube´ in Spain. With this good start we launched into the chaos of getting out of the airport. With all the building work going on, which we had seen from the sky, this took a little while but soon we were on our way.

Rather than going on the motorway which is the easiest way, Yvonne thought it would be nicer for us to go via the scenic route so drove through Torremolinos to our eventual destination of Benalmadena. We were surprised by the number of English businesses we saw along the way but also reassured that we did not have to speak Spanish. We arrived at our accommodation, a well appointed studio apartment in the centre of Benalmadena, just after twelve but unfortunately the previous holidaymakers had been late moving out so the cleaners were still at work. This apartment had a large 24 hour reception, beautiful gardens and a swimming pool, additionally there was a taxi rank right outside, which ensured that we had every convenience close to hand but were also very safe and secure.

We dropped the bags and went across the road to have a full English breakfast, one of my favourite meals, this gave Yvonne an opportunity to tell us about the surrounding shops, bars and restaurants as well as the coastal railway and some of the attractions of the neighbouring towns and markets.

Fortified but getting tired after a busy day we returned to the apartment where the welcome basket 1Casa had provided was neatly put away and we had the opportunity to have a rest and plan what we would do over the next 7 days.

Although on the day we arrived it had been overcast and spitting rain, next morning it had cleared up and stayed in the 20´s all the time we were there. 

We went to Fuengirola and took several trips on the train, we enjoyed a daily stroll around the huge Paloma Park, just around the corner from the apartment, where we really enjoyed watching all the animals and birds. We met some people that took us to Torremolinos market where we found some real bargains and all of our luggage, plus the extra bag we had to buy, was stuffed full. We really enjoyed a fantastic holiday thanks to 1Casa. Thanks also to Yvonne for pickup at the airport and for returning to the same and introducing me to the nearby ALL DAY ENGLISH BREAKFAST so I never missed after that!! As Ann says she is a lovely lady.

It was particularly special because this was the year of our Golden Wedding Anniversary and we had never won anything before in our lives.

Thank you for the package you sent me, I'm spreading the word up here for Spain and the wonderful way that we were looked after by you and your company.

I have also got a few from the old golf club to view your web sight, as we were doing just the other evening. You do have some very good results and letters from totally satisfied customers.

Raining here at the moment so no change really, and of course I'm just of to play golf, so it is normal again!!!

Our search for the right property within the area of Alora was getting no where. After 4 years In Spain we had recently sold our property and new exactly what we really wanted but no one seemed to able to assist us, that is until we discovered 1 Casa.

The team at 1 Casa took time to understand our requirements and directed us to a number of potential properties on there web site. A few weeks later and we were out in Spain looking at the selected viewings. 1 Casa were with us for the complete process and although we had previously bought in Spain they were always at hand in assisting and making recommendations throughout the visit.

Because they had understood our specification completely we soon found exactly what we were looking for and 1 Casa assisted us making the offer to completing the paperwork, negotiating with the solicitors and bank and being there at the final signing of all the legal documents

We encountered a small building defect some months after the purchase and amasingly 1 Casa didn’t hesitate in resolving the issue with there usual speed and professionalism, believe me in Spain this is a revelation.

After research on the internet I contacted an estate agency in Iznalloz and was lucky enough to meet Sabrina. We spoke on the phone and discussed the type of property I was looking for and price range and arranged a date to meet for viewing. Sabrina met me on the outskirts of town so that I didn’t have to find my way to the office, which was a relief as I hadn’t driven on the Continent before and was a bit nervous.

At the office I was shown a range of properties that met my specifications and I chose those that I wanted to view. Sabrina impressed me with her knowledge and up-front attitude so I felt confident that I could trust her, which was very important for me as I was undertaking this venture on my own and had never done anything like it before.I only had 4 days in Spain so time was short. Luckily, I found a house that I liked on the first day of viewing. There wasn’t a question that I asked that Sabrina couldn’t answer. I was going to need some building work done and she explained about planning permission and accompanied me to the Ayuntamiento to check that the work would be possible before I committed myself to buying the property.

Once I had decided to go ahead Sabrina explained the whole process of buying a house in Spain to me. The next day she took me to Granada to get my NIE number, waiting patiently with me for 3 hours, and then to the bank to open an account. I knew nothing and appreciated her advice, which was freely offered without being pushy. I paid a deposit and returned to England with a completion date set and fully aware of what would happen when I arrived back in January and what I should do in the mean time.Sabrina kept in touch by phone and e-mail, keeping me up to date with progress by my solicitor etc.

The morning of completion Sabrina picked me up from the hotel and took me to the bank. She had already arranged for them to have a banker’s draft ready for me to pick up. From there we went to the Notary. Everything went smoothly besides a lot of waiting around. Although I have studied the Spanish language to A level I would have been lost without Sabrina there to translate, as I had never needed to learn the appropriate vocabulary and found the speech too fast to follow. She made sure I always knew what was being said. The help I received didn’t stop once the purchase was complete, although I witnessed another British couple totally abandoned by an estate agent from another company, and their solicitor, before they had even left the Notary’s office.

Sabrina took me to sort out the gas contract, the electricity and the water and then came to the house with me to check that there were no problems. As it happens, the former owner had given me the wrong key so I was relieved that she was there! On the Saturday when she wasn’t working for the estate agency Sabrina came with me to buy a new water boiler and showed me good places to buy other things that I needed. Obviously, I could have done these things myself if I had had to but it was so much easier to have help and advice from someone who had lived in Spain for years and was fluent in the language.I returned to England feeling that the whole thing had been a very positive experience.

Over the past year Sabrina has gone way past the call of duty in helping me, especially in regards to keeping me up to date with the building work I had carried out. Whenever I go to my house I know that I can call her for advice or to help with arrangements that I can’t make myself. It is reassuring to have a contact who can recommend workmen as I don’t know those with a good reputation and those without, as I found to my detriment. Throughout our friendship, as I now regard our relationship, Sabrina has always acted in a professional yet approachable and down- to-earth way. I would not hesitate to recommend her to anyone buying a house in Spain.

Solo deseó darte muchas gracias por tu ayuda y también por encontrar nuestra casa.        Nada mas en que oí ese acento de Yorkshire sabía que íbamos a estar OK.
Yvonne debe tener un poco de “Yorkshire” también porque ella nos dijo que una de las casas que escogimos del la pagina Web no era adecuada para nosotros, pero cuando nos vio indecisos ella nos llevó a verla de todos los modos. Pero ella tenía razón y no era lo que queríamos, entonces es cuando nos dimos cuenta de que podíamos confiar en su juicio y en el tuyo. Entre vosotros dos,nos habéis encontrado una casa perfecta y somos muy felices en ella.
Ahora que nos hemos asentado bien y hemos hablado con otros recién llegados, nos hemos dado cuenta de lo mucho que habéis hecho y nos habéis ayudado en comparación con otras agencias. Algunos de ellos están todavía intentando solucionar sus problemas con la luz y otras cosas, mientras que lo único que hemos tenido que hacer nosotros es encontrar una buena cerveza.

El decir muchas gracias realmente no expresa la gratitud que sentimos por su excelente servicio. No solo por contestar en solo 20 minutos después de recibir mi email, con una lista de viviendas apropiadas,despues citas para verlas y hasta la finalización de la compra,  su servicio fue de primera.
Como profesionales muy ocupados, mi marido y yo no tenemos mucho tiempo libre y nos hacia falta desesperadamente un hogar vacacional para escapaditas. Aunque contactamos varias agencias por medio de email, su atención estuvo mucho mejor que las demás en velocidad y eficacia.
Nos gusto cuando usted asumió control sobre todos los detalles de poca importancia y estuvimos muy seguros en firmar con el abogado que usted recomendó un poder para solucionar la compra y la transferencia de utilidades. ¡Así pudimos regresar de nuevo al trabajo y empezar a pagar por todo! Hasta ahora solo hemos hecho una visita de fin de semana pero el saber que todo esta arreglado con los recibos en el banco y que no teníamos que hace nada mas que unas pocas compras, hemos pasado unas vacaciones muy tranquilas. Estamos pensando en muchos más escapadas relajadas en el futuro.

He tenido que escribirte para contarte lo contentos que estamos con nuestra hermosa cabaña. Nunca pensamos que terminaríamos con algo tan conveniente. Realmente no habíamos decidido venir a España pero mientras estuvimos mirando por Internet casas en el extranjero encontramos  tu pagina Web y pensamos que podíamos contactarte para darnos una idea de cómo era España, y menos mal que lo hicimos. Les escribimos y nos pusisteis en contacto con Yvonne y Susan. Susan reservó un hostal para nosotros y Yvonne nos recogió del aeropuerto y nos llevó para ver algunas casas. Simplemente para orientarnos de lo que podríamos conseguir con nuestro presupuesto - de todos modos eso era la intención.

Cuando vimos esta pequeña cabaña, sentadita en el lado de una montaña, acabamos enamorándonos de ella. Los dueños españoles eran gente muy agradable que nos dieron un poco de su vino casero y con Yvonne traduciendo, nos dijeron que creían                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                           que éramos la gente perfecta para su casa. Afortunadamente mi hijo nos pudo                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                           transferir un poco de dinero extra y pagamos la señal

Aquí estamos, en  menos de dos meses instalados en nuestra casa. Hemos tenido una pequeña fiesta con los dueños anteriores y los vecinos. Queríamos que Yvonne viniese para ayudarnos a comunicarnos  pero tenía clientes y no pudo.

Lo hemos pasado asombrosamente bien considerando que no nos hablamos el idioma. Había muchas sonrisas, muchos gestos, mucho vino para beber y muchos brindis. Realmente nos sentimos parte de la comunidad y vamos a comenzar lecciones de  español. Todos han sido muy amables y hemos empezado a recibir bolsas de fruta y verdura como Yvonne nos advirtió. Hice un bizcocho Victoria y le di a nuestros vecinos, que nos traen naranjas casi diariamente, y parecían tan agradecidos como si les había dado 100 euros! Eso era gracias a la advertencia de Yvonne sobre nunca ofrecerles dinero para no ofenderles.

Todos tus consejos han sido así de útiles y nos has ayudado a sentirnos como si hubiéramos estado aquí para años, solo nos falta reunirnos con los otros ingleses con quien Susan nos presento. También vamos a participar en algunas de las excursiones que ella organiza.

Somos tan felices que no tengo palabras para describirlo y todo gracias a ti y a tus empleados.Todo debido a su experiencia,esmero y duro trabajo hicistes nuestro traslado a España más fácil que cuando nos cambiamos de casa en Inglaterra. Pase, por favor, nuestras gracias a todos de 1Casa.

Llevábamos casi dos años buscando una vivienda en Andalucía interior, y 1Casa era una de las agencias principales con propiedades en la zona de Alora.
Aunque ninguna de éstas propiedades eran lo qué buscábamos, nos agrado la información de carácter general que Terry nos dio, y el hecho de que no había presión de ningún tipo. Entonces Terry sugirió que mirásemos otra zona un poco mas hacia el interior, y arregló un día de visitas para nosotros. Durante el día, encontramos la casa perfecta, 1Casa nos ayudó a negociar una reducción en el precio y convenimos en pagar una señal en cuanto volviésemos a Inglaterra. El servicio que recibimos de parte de 1Casa durante los próximos meses, y durante el proceso de compra estuvo de primera. Aunque hubo un pequeño problema con la tasación de nuestro banco pero esto estuvo resuelto por 1Casa y nos hicimos los dueños orgullosos de la casa en febrero.
Sin embargo, como todavía teníamos una vivienda en Inglaterra para vender, no estábamos en una posición para trasladarnos a España inmediatamente. El servicio de post ventas que se nos ofreció fue excelente.Esto realmente nos sorprendio, porque no sabíamos si perderiais interés después de la venta. ¡ Definitivamente este no ha sido el caso! 1Casa han ayudado a arreglar muchas cosas desde encontrar a un cerrajero para asegurar la vivienda durante nuestra ausencia, organizando los permisos de edificio, almacenaje de muebles, y todo sin perder ritmo en el negocio de 1Casa. Cuando Telefónica instaló una nueva línea pero se olvidó del teléfono, 1Casa nos prestaron uno hasta que llego el original. Nuestra experiencia de comprar una vivienda en España ha sido mucho menos desalentador por la ayuda recibida (y que todavía recibimos) de 1Casa.

Bien,pues ya estamos aquí y aun no estoy seguro de creermelo ya qué con una cosa y con otra pense que nunca lo haríamos.
Después del problema con nuestros compradores en Inglaterra, y los dueños españoles que querian cambiar el precio, pensé que seguramente habíamos perdido nuestro sueño de Espana.
Todavía no nos podemos creer que consiguiese reunir a todos con los abogados correspondientes en la oficina y hecharles una buena bronca.Tom dice que él nunca se pondria contra usted después de lo que vio en la oficina con el abogado. Obviamente no entendíamos ni una palabra y de sus traducciones rápidas no se podia deducir todo lo que pasaba, pero podríamos entender por los tonos de voz y actitudes físicas que las cosas se estaban calentándo.
Cuando el vendedor y su abogado fueron afuera a hablar en privado estaba seguro que habíamos ido demasiado lejos e iba a perder la casa pero, no se como, usted ganó. 
Nosotros creemos que lo que usted hizo fue mucho más de lo que hubieramos podido esperar de alguien cualquiera e incluso mas, porque incluso pensando en algunos de nuestros amigos aquí, ellos nos hubieran dado un abogado y después se hubieran olvidado de nosotros,y ahora en dia no tendríamos nuestra casa.
Da las gracias a Terry por recomendarnos  HIFX que son una compañía excelente para hacer la transferencia del dinero. Conseguimos un tipo de cambio excelente y con lo qué ahorramos con ellos hemos pagado para la TV vía satélite.

Queremos hacerte saber que hemos tenido nuestro primer baño caliente con el agua del panel solar que nos conseguisteis . Mucha agua y muy caliente exactamente como prometisteis. También nuestro jardín esta lleno de materiales de construcción que me han costado mucho menos que a mi amigo de lo que pago el al principio,gracias por tus consejos.
El servicio que teníamos de 1Casa y de todo el personal allí ha sido absolutamente excelente. Muchos de nuestros amigos pensaron que nos habiamos enfadado con ellos cuando compramos esta casa porque había solamente tres habitaciones habitables y las otras cinco necesitaban tanto trabajo. Aunque la verdad hubiese sido un poco complicado sin tu ayuda y tus consejos.
Muchas agencias dicen que hacen los sueños una realidad para sus clientes pero por lo qué me cuentan la gente, la verdad es que solo te venden una casa.Tu con toda la ayuda adicional que nos has dado, has verificado que tu compañía realmente hace los sueños una realidad, no importa lo tonto que estos sueños parezcan a los de mas. Incluso me recomendaste que seria un buena  idea poner antes de nada el cuarto de baño y tuviste razón. Uno agradece poder tener un buen remojon después de un día duro de trabajo.

Sr. Lucas , cuando estaba pensando queriendo jubilarme en España,el no tener el capital para comprar el sitio que realmente queria,y el anadir ser soltera con una sola renta fija, realmente no me daba mucha esperanza. Contacte  muchas compañías en las zonas del interior (que conocía por medio del Sur-en-inglés  que me enviaron mis amigos en la costa) ahora pienso que he tenido mucha suerte de que fuese Yvonne en Alora con quien me  pusiera en contacto. He de decir tambien que tampoco iba a ser uno esos clientes con grandes beneficios, pero pese a todo esto me han tratado con mucha amabilidad y un nivel de profesionalidad mucho mas alto de lo que podia nunca pensar!!!!
¡No se como puedo agradecer suficientemente tanto a usted como a sus empleados el hacer mi sueño una realidad y encontrarme, lo que considero, el lugar de mis sueños!!!! Adoro Alora y a toda su zona, y no tengo ningúna gana de ser parte del club de los “ex-pats” cerca de la costa, siempre he deseado algún sito tranquilo, realmente espanol y, gracias a Yvonne, lo he encontrado. Cuando vine a Alora la semana pasada, Yvonne y Susan fueron encantadoras conmigo.
 Tengo varios amigos que estan pensando en mudarse a España, y como yo, no quieren estar en una "pequeña Inglaterra" en la costa. Una vez que este bien asentada y pueda traerles aquí para una visita estoy seguro de que van a pensar en comprar en la zona, y por supuesto, insistiré que lo hagan por medio de 1Casa con alguien en que puedan confiar! Cuando vine no sabía si encontraría algo aquí (o si queria poder estar en Alora) entonces no tenia suficiente dinero en efectivo para pagar para todo y una vez que encontrámos el apartamento, para asegurarlo tuve que pagar los 2 meses de alquiler que se me pedia, así que volvi a Inglaterra sin pagarles su comisión. Como Yvonne me consiguió una renta tan buena (280€ mensuales) en la que se incluiria su comision  me parecío al final muy poco dinero por todo el esfuerzo que ustedes habían puesto, así que acordé con Yvonne en  pagarla 350 Euros. He mandado hoy una transferencia a su cuenta de 400 Euros y quisiera que Yvonne reciba el suplemento como un pequeño regalo por toda su ayuda, incluyendo las innumerables tazas de café etc.

Terry quería escribirle una nota de agradecimiento por toda la ayuda que nos dio en España. 
Como usted ya sabe tuvimos una experiencia muy desagradable con un viaje anterior con otra gente para mirar casas y mi marido juró que nunca volveria a España,después de haber estado en alojamientos horribles y de estar atrapados en un coche para ocho horas de un tiron mirando casas que eran demasiado caras para nosotros,y no entendimos el por qué de todo esto.Pero vi su número de atención gratuita anunciado y le llame,aunque mi marido no queria que lo hiciese en lo mas minimo. Su voz tranquila y sus buenos modales me tranquilizaron inmediatamente e incluso Arthur cambio de opinión después de hablar con usted. El alojamiento que usted nos reservó fue encantador y el coche de alquiler muy apropiado aunque no logramos utilizarlo mucho ya que Yvonne nos condujo a todas las casas. Ella también, como usted, fue muy amable, con buenos modales y honesta, algo que hoy en día no es muy frecuente encontrar en mucha gente. Ella nos invito a café y a almorzar y nunca nos presiono en tomar una decisión. Incluso despues de comprar la casa ella todavía estuvo allí para ayudarnos y aconsejarnos. Entre ustedes dos y sus consejos nos han ahorrado mucho dinero, y han conseguido poner todo en orden y somos felices en nuestro nuevo hogar. Como usted lo hizo tan fácil para nosotros, varios de nuestros amigos están pensando en venir a España también y todos iran a usted.  Mi mujer y yo queremos darte las gracias por todo tu trabajo. Nos encontramos con algunos verdaderos b*******s cuando buscábamos nuestra casa y casi decidimos acabar con todo. Entonces este muchacho que conoci en un bar me dijo que vosotros erais, sin duda, la mejor compania y por eso decidímos intentarlo una vez mas.
Resulta que el muchacho del bar tenía razón, vosotros sois verdaderas joyas, no me sorprende que vuestra compañía sea tan prospera. Salvasteis mi vida y probablemente nuestro matrimonio. Leanne quería, con todo su corazón, un chalet en el campo y vosotros lo encontrasteis. Nada de engaño, nada de presión, solo buscando la casa perfecta según nuestra lista de necesidades, como siempre dijistes. Todavía no puedo creerme que solamente nos ensenarais tres y nos gustasen todas. Esta forma de emparejar casas con clientes es cierta, porque de la otra forma diferente lo unico que otras personas nos han enseñado han sido muchas casas inapropiadas, la mayoría con un precio mas alto de lo que queriamos pagar. Tu cortastes todo el rollo y apuntastes a la diana.
Asi que Leanne es muy feliz ahora, y eso me hace a mi feliz también.

Quisiera agradecerle por enseñarme España y por el servicio excelente que nos proporciono su compañía. Al estar mi marido un poco enfermo y el no tener ni fuerza ni confianza para conducir un coche de alquiler durante nuestro viaje a España volamos a Málaga, el único vuelo que pudimos conseguir llegó a Málaga muy tarde, pero Yvonne nos recogió en el aeropuerto y nos llevo a Alora donde había reservado un alojamiento y a la mañana siguiente nos ayudó a abrir una cuenta bancaria española. Después Yvonne nos llevo hasta Granada, donde nos había hecho reserva en un hotel, y luego nos llevó a la oficina para hacer una lista de casas para ver. Fuimos a ver al día siguiente las 3 casas que habíamos elegido. A mi me gustaba una pero Harry le gustaba otra diferente pero no nos gustaban las mismas. Mientras que miramos la tercera casa, un hombre español vino a decirnos que él tenia otra casa para vender y salimos todos a verla. Salimos los dos muy contentos con esa casa e hicimos un trato pagando una señal.

A la mañana siguiente Yvonne nos llevo a Torremolinos para cambiar una maleta que   había roto la compañía aérea en nuestro viaje, traduciendo para nosotros y solucionando todo cuando intentaron darnos una maleta peor. Después nos llevo a Fuengirola donde pasamos el resto de las vacaciones con un amigo. Sin la ayuda de Yvonne y de sus compañeros no habríamos comprado nuestro hogar en España por eso es por lo que estamos muy agradecidos. Como el estado de salud de mi marido estaba empeorando en el Reino Unido creo que nos hubiera impedido buscar especialmente en un tiempo limitado y los continuos viajes a España habrían sido perjudiciales para su salud, con la ayuda de Yvonne pudimos concluir todo en un viaje y ésto nos ayudo muchísimo y vimos por fin que la mudanza a España se iba a hacer realidad.

Sin embargo esto no fue el final de la ayuda que nos prestaron  porque después de haber pagado la señal en el contrato vino el tiempo para finalizar el resto de la transferencia y entonces es cuando hubo verdaderos problemas con nuestro banco que no transfería el dinero y casi estuvimos cerca de perder la casa pero con esfuerzos enormes, las muchísimas llamadas telefónicas y la persistencia de Terry en 1Casa, él lo manejó,y con la ayuda de HIFX, conseguir el dinero en España estuvo justo en tiempo.

Todos los problemas e incomodidades con el dinero llevo a que mi marido se pusiera muy enfermo y la necesidad de mudarnos a España se convirtió en una situación de urgencia. Desde que nos trasladamos a España él ha mejorado muchísimo, incluso parece otra persona. El pueblo donde vivimos ahora esta ubicado en una zona muy rústica de España y casi nadie habla ingles, éste ha sido un desafío grande pero nuestros vecinos han sido muy amables con nosotros. Hemos empezado clases de español con un profesor local y ésto nos ha ayudado a ser aceptados en la comunidad, incluso nos han invitado a las fiestas locales y los acontecimientos culturales, lo que nos ha hecho sentir como estar en casa mucho más pronto de lo que pensamos que fuera posible. El otro día nos invitaron al inicio de las Fiestas de Navidad, donde los aldeanos se reúnen para sacrificar los cerdos que han criado y las mujeres hacen los chorizos y los jamones curados. Nos invitaron a participar y fue una gran fiesta, con mucha comida y vino de la zona. Estaremos eternamente agradecidos a 1Casa y a todos sus empleados por ayudarnos por todo incluyendo la salud de mi marido. Os deseamos salud, prosperidad y muchos clientes en 2006.

Muchas gracias por el boletín de noticias semanal. La verdad es que nos mantiene en contacto con España y es muy divertido. Tenemos una casa pequeña en el pueblo de Pruna (Sevilla) pero hace casi un año que no hemos podido ir por razones de salud de mi marido. Sin embargo, esperamos volver a España este verano. Como vivi y trabaje en España durante los años 70 y 80, y al  poder hablar el idioma, me siento mas en casa alli que en Inglaterra.

 Gracias por las noticias... muy interesantes!
Me gusto leer esto del "African Plan" – seguramente es bueno. también, es divertido la historia de los restos de Cristobal Colon. ¡Así que, el pais que tiene los verdaderos restos que se ponga en pie?! (sonrisa) (- viene de un concurso viejo de television de los años 60 que se lamaba "A decir la verdad,con el presentador Hugh Downs)." aunque no está relacionado con este tema, lo que significa es: "el país que tiene los restos verdaderos, por favor a  ponerse de pie!" Pobre hombre, parece que su ADN se le va a dividir . Espero que el "jazz evening' era divertido ¡--Oh, quien estubiese en la hermosa Costa del Sol para una tarde de jazz! finalmente, vaya historia  la de la mujer americana mayor que soportó la gripe aviar junto con otros miembros de su familia.  Parece que hubiese habido  una posible relación entre sus anticuerpos y el virus de la gripe. Seguramente que merece más investigación.

Queria decirte que ya estoy asentada en mi casa cerca de Alcala y estoy muy agradecida tanto a usted como a sus empleados. Siendo una mujer soltera siempre me siento más vulnerable cuando trato con vendedores por eso estaba muy contenta al encontrarle por medio del Internet. Despues de hablar con usted e Yvonne me senti muy confiada y la ayuda que usted me dio para encontrar la casa que queria, organizar una hipoteca, solicitar una linea de ADSL, mudarme y solucionar todos los requisitos españoles resulto ser mucho mas de lo que esperaba. Mi negocio del Internet va incluso mejor aquí que en el Reino Unido con la diferencia de que aquí hay sol. Qué más podría pedir una mujer. He pasado su nombre a todos mis clientes en caso de que esten buscando una casa y seguire dandoselo a todos los demas. A veces es dificil saber de quién puedes confiar, por eso da gusto conocer a alguien honesto a quien recurir. Gracias a todos en 1Casa.

Hola a todos en 1Casa,
Una nota rápida para darles las gracias a todos ustedes con respecto a la compra de mi casa en Bulgaria.
Como saben empecé buscando una casa en España pero cuando la compra de la casa allí fracaso (y no podía encontrar otra similar para el mismo presupuesto) Terry Lucas nos informó sobre Bulgaria. Quiero decir que el equipo en Bulgaria es de primera en todo los sentidos. Desde el momento que les contactamos hasta el final del proceso, han hecho todo lo posible para ayudarnos.
Teniendo en cuenta que el país acaba de empezar a tratar con clientes extranjeros, su actitud en la búsqueda de casas para los clientes es impecable. Nos llevaron a multitud de sitios en Bulgaria para ver casas y nos explicaron los pros y las contras de cada zona; así podíamos saber que tenían allí y cuando lo tenían ( esto es muy importante porque, como en España, la vida en la costa es con estaciones  y con inviernos fríos) así que es mejor comprar allí solo si lo vas a utilizar mayormente durante los meses del verano. Es muy importante saber estas cosas si no conoces la zona y ellos nos contaron sobre todo.
No intentaron vendernos cualquier cosa solo nos informaron cual de las propiedades eran mas apropiados para estar allí por todo el año y cuales eran mas estacionales (como chalets en las zonas del esquí). Una vez que encontramos la casa que queríamos comprar, continuaron dándonos un servicio de primera clase  en todo el proceso, ellos hicieron todo el papeleo para nosotros, organizaron todas las reuniones necesarias con los organismos oficiales, el notario y los abogados etc; hicieron el proceso muy fácil para nosotros. Regresamos a Inglaterra y ellos se encargaron de todo lo demás. Ellos hicieron todo lo que nos dijeron que iban van hacer cuando nos dijeron que lo harían; nos contactaron por email a cada paso para mantenernos informados durante todo el proceso.
De todas formas el proceso fue fácil y sin complicaciones. En el plazo de cinco semanas de haber mirado ya teníamos algo nuestro. Hemos estado de nuevo en Bulgaria desde la compra y sus servicios no han parado (algo que dudo que conseguiría si comprara en España con otra gente). Nos recogieron del aeropuerto y nos llevaron a la casa para que no nos perdíeramos, han trabajado con todas las empresas de servicio público para cambiar los detalles nuestros, básicamente cualquier cosa relacionada con el cambio de titulares de la casa,ellos lo han hecho para nosotros. Esto ha sido imprescindible, especialmente ya que no  podemos ni  hablar ni leer el idioma.
De todas formas lo que quiero decir es que su servicio ha sido fantástico y no tenemos ninguna duda en recomendarles a cualquier persona que tenga interés en comprar en Bulgaria, el país y la gente es asombrosa y pienso que no tardara mucho en ser tan popular como España para comprar un segundo hogar, y según mi experiencia, es lo que merecen. Si quiere que hable con cualquiera de sus clientes que piensan en comprar en Bulgaria, paseles mis datos¡Estare más que feliz de hablar con ellos! Gracias otra vez por recomendar esta pequeña joya de país que hasta ahora esta casi sin descubrir y con suerte permanecerá así de afortunada.

Muchas gracias por las noticias que mandas, son una gran fuente de información sobre acontecimientos y sucesos en España. Un artículo reciente me llamo la atención tanto que tuve que escribirte una nota. Dijistes que una pandilla de ‘timeshare’ que trabajaba en Fuengirola y otras zonas había sido arrestada. Espero que ésta sea la misma cuadrilla que, después de que me prometieron comprar lo mio, me engañaron,y me sacaron varios de miles de libras mas.Un dinero que necesitaba para mi hijo que es minusvalido. Esta gente nos llamaron por teléfono para saber si quería vender mi propiedad de ‘timeshare’. Y por cierto, quería venderla, y les escuche con interés. La compañía se llamaba Eurosun
